The Peshawar High Court has issued notices of contempt of court to the parties including the Election Commission

The Peshawar High Court has asked all parties, including the Election Commission, to respond by January 16

Notices were issued to the Election Commission on PTI's contempt of court petition. In the Peshawar High Court, a hearing was held on PTI's contempt petition against the Election Commission. Contempt of court notices were issued to all the parties, including the Election Commission.

The Peshawar High Court asked the parties to respond by January 16. The bench comprising Justice Shakeel Ahmed and Justice Waqar Ahmed will hear the application on Friday.

It has been reported that Tehreek-e-Insaf has filed a contempt of court petition against the Election Commission in Peshawar High Court for not restoring the election symbol and not uploading the certificate immediately on the website.

In the contempt petition filed in I, it has been contended that despite the court orders, Election Commission has not yet issued bat mark certificate to PTI, which is contempt of court.

On the other hand, the Election Commission of Pakistan has filed an appeal in the Supreme Court against giving the election symbol of bat to Tehreek-e-Insaf.

For this purpose, the Election Commission has filed an appeal in the Supreme Court against the decision of the Peshawar High Court, in which the position has been adopted that the Tehreek-e-Insaf did not conduct inter-party elections under the Election Act, therefore the decision of the Peshawar High Court is against the Constitution. And it is against the law, so this decision should be annulled.

It is being told that in this regard, the Election Commission officials decided in an important meeting that the Supreme Court will be approached against the decision of the Peshawar High Court.

The four members of the commission and the special secretary participated in the meeting. The Special Secretaries were called, the Law Wing of the Election Commission briefed the Commission on the legal points related to the Peshawar High Court decision.
