Imran Khan nominated Ali Amin Gandapur as Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

This is the third time that PTI will form the government in the province, completing its hat-trick

PTI founder Imran Khan nominated Ali Amin Gandapur as Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has got two-thirds majority in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. 

Dr. Amjad Ali, Mushtaq Ghani and Ali Amin Gandapur were declared as the most favorite candidates for the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. However, PTI got the required majority in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly. 

In order to form the government for the third consecutive time in the province, the possibility of the party's provincial president Ali Amin Gandapur becoming the chief minister was being shown because in the general elections, independent candidates associated with PTI won the National Assembly and National Assembly in many districts of the province. 

He won all the seats in the Provincial Assembly, Chitral, Abbottabad, Swat, Charsadda, Swabi, Nowshera, Mohmand, Khyber, Mardan and Bannu.

It is being told that 73 seats are required to form the government in the 145-member KP Provincial Assembly while the PTI-backed candidates have already won 90 seats in the Provincial Assembly, which means PTI I have got a simple majority and is in a position to form the government on its own in the province, now they don't even need the seats of other parties to form the government.

This is the third time that PTI will form the government in the province completing its hat-trick, the first time PTI formed the government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in 2013 with Pervez Khattak, the second time when the party formed the government in the province was in 2018. 

Mahmood Khan was given the post of Chief Minister. 

It has been learned that Sardar Ali Amin Gandapur will be the third member of the Provincial Assembly to become the Chief Minister from Dera Ismail Khan. Before him, Mufti Mahmood and Sardar Inayatullah Khan Gandapur, both from Dera Ismail Khan, have been the chief executive of the province. Sardar Ali Amin was the provincial minister in Gandapur KP during the first term of PTI, he became the federal minister during its tenure at the centre.
