Start of food laboratories in Masjid al-Haram to check food during Ramadan

Food laboratories have been launched in the Masjid al-Haram to check the quality of food provided to visitors during the holy month of Ramadan. This step has been taken to ensure that the food provided to pilgrims during their fasting and iftar meals is of the highest quality. According to Al-Arabiya news, mobile food laboratories of the municipal agency have started operating near the courtyards of the Masjid al-Haram in Makkah.

The purpose of this initiative is to ensure that the food provided to Umrah pilgrims and worshippers during their sahoor and iftar meals is of the highest quality. The general administration of licensing and food safety of the municipal agency, representing the municipality in the Holy Capital, has provided mobile laboratories to carry out their services for checking the food and meals provided to Umrah pilgrims and visitors. The laboratories are equipped with the highest quality services.

During Ramadan, 17 shuttle bus routes have been arranged for transportation from various sites in Mecca to Masjid al-Haram. According to Saudi Arabia's "Guests of the Merciful Program," a large number of Umrah pilgrims come from outside the country during Ramadan, and there is also a continuous stream of pilgrims from within the country. With this in mind, special arrangements have been made for shuttle bus services to facilitate Umrah pilgrims. The service runs 24 hours a day, seven days a week, so that pilgrims from other cities can have transportation to and from the Holy Mosque without any difficulty.

In a statement issued by the authorities, it was stated that the fare for the bus service has been kept very reasonable. The convenience of the Spain system has also been provided for paying the fare. The bus fare has been divided into two basic routes, with a fare of 16 riyals for those coming from outside Mecca who park their cars at the checkpoint outside the city, while those coming from the parking area within Mecca have to pay 7 riyals.
