According to the details, Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif reviewed the Chief Minister Himat Card project in a special meeting on Monday.
Senator Pervez Rasheed, Senior Provincial Minister Maryam Aurangzeb, Chief Secretary Zahid Akhtar Zaman, MPA Sania Ashiq, Principal Secretary Sajid Zafar Dal, Secretary CM Office Danish Afzal, Secretary Social Welfare and other relevant officials participated in the meeting.
In the meeting, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif approved the Chief Minister Himat Card project.
In the first phase, it was decided to give monthly stipends to special persons for three years.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has increased the stipend of special persons from Rs.6,000 to Rs.7,500. About 30,000 special people will get a monthly stipend of 7,500 rupees for three years. Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif directed to conduct an awareness campaign for wheelchairs.
The needy people can approach the helpline of the Chief Minister's Office on 0800-02345 for a wheelchair.
It was decided in the meeting that 14 types of assistive devices will also be given to special people in the second phase. Wheelchairs, hearing aids, tricycles, Braille and other equipment will be provided to make life easier for the disabled.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif said that special persons are very important for us, they will provide all possible support.
