Former Chairman Najam Sethi has said that seeing the compulsion of Shehbaz Sharif

Former Chairman Najam Sethi has said that seeing the compulsion of Shehbaz Sharif, he left the post of Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board. According to private TV 'Hum News', in an interview, Najam Sethi said that the decision regarding cricket is made by the Ministry of Inter-Provincial Coordination. 

The Ministry of Inter-Provincial Coordination was with the PPP in the PDM government.

It was decided in the PDM government that everyone will take a decision regarding their own ministry, the ministry of inter-provincial coordination was with the PPP at that time. 

Asif Zardari told Shahbaz Sharif that he will appoint Chairman PCB Zaka Ashraf. Seeing the compulsion of Shahbaz Sharif, I left the post of Chairman PCB in June last year. On the other hand, regarding the alleged irregularities in the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), the federal government has decided to conduct an audit of the chairman of the PCB Management Committee, Najam Sethi.

The Ministry of Inter-Provincial Coordination has decided to take action against Najam Sethi. The federal government has written a letter to the Auditor General of Pakistan to conduct an audit of Najam Sethi's tenure. According to the details, the letter says that the Auditor General should immediately start the audit of the 8th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). 

The letter demanded that there should also be a full audit of the expenditure incurred during the Najam Sethi era.

In the text of the letter, referring to the period of Najam Sethi period, it was asked that the period from December 22, 2022 to June 20, 2023 should be audited. 

The audit authorities should also look into the perks given to Najam Sethi as well as members of the PCB Management Committee. It should be noted that after the resignation of former PCB Chairman Ramiz Raja, the federal government formed a temporary PCB Management Committee in December 2022.
