In a meeting of the Public Accounts Committee, it was revealed that the Chief Justice is at the top in terms of receiving a salary in Pakistan.
During the meeting chaired by Chairman PAC, Noor Alam Khan, details of the salaries of the President, Prime Minister, and judges were presented in the PAC.
Chairman PAC, Noor Alam Khan, informed the meeting that the salary of the Chief Justice of Pakistan is Rs. 1,527,399, Supreme Court judges receive a salary of Rs. 1,470,711.
He further mentioned that the salary of the President of the country is Rs. 896,550, and the Prime Minister's salary is Rs. 201,574.
Chairman PAC, Noor Alam Khan, also stated that the salary of a federal minister is Rs. 338,125, and the salary of a Member of the National Assembly is Rs. 188,000.
He also revealed that a Grade 22 federal officer's salary is Rs. 591,475. These compensations are separate from the mentioned salaries.
