The Pakistan Army's Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has stated that the military leadership is committed to fulfilling its constitutional responsibilities with the cooperation of the people.
At a corps commanders conference led by Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa, emphasis was placed on the need for the government and the people to adopt a joint position to end terrorism.
The conference participants agreed that during a time when security forces are engaged in covert operations in western border regions, a joint stance against terrorism, extremism, and instability would serve as the basis for successful operations to end these threats.
According to the ISPR, the military leadership is fully aware of the challenges it faces and is always prepared to respond to internal and external threats with its armed forces.
The government has approved a campaign to counter terrorism, and the National Security Committee has been tasked with achieving the stated objectives with complete determination, according to the ISPR.
