There is a possibility of receiving $1.1 billion from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in the first week of April

Negotiations are underway between Pakistan and the IMF to revive the loan program.

Officials from the Ministry of Finance claimed that the IMF has been assured of funding from friendly countries until June 30. The implementation of the next tranche of one billion dollars is expected in early April. According to the officials, the nation will receive good news this week regarding the staff-level agreement. 

After the agreement, the IMF mission will recommend the implementation of the next tranche to the Executive Board. The Ministry of Finance stated that it is possible for the Executive Board meeting of the IMF to be held in the first week of April, and the implementation of the next tranche is expected in the same meeting.
