    Due to a delay in the announcement of the moon sighting, citizens, especially those who are devout and pray regularly, have been greatly affected.

    The central moon-sighting committee's delay in announcing the sighting of the Ramadan moon has resulted in people facing severe hardship.


    The announcements of not receiving any sightings from the zone committees have led citizens to be confident that fasting would not be required for the day.


    After performing the evening prayers (Isha) in the mosques, most of the mosques had been closed and the homes of those who had performed the prayers had been emptied. The security personnel and scholars had also left the mosques. However, suddenly on the night of March 23, upon receiving reports of the sighting of the Ramadan moon, the announcement of the beginning of Ramadan was made.


    In this situation, citizens have criticized the moon-sighting committee and appealed for timely decisions to be made.
