Qavi Khan started his career as a child star with Radio Pakistan Peshawar, which is a testament to his natural talent. He added that Qavi Khan was a versatile actor who played all types of roles with perfection, and his acting was closer to reality and natural. He was one of the initial actors of Pakistan Television (PTV) who played an important role in laying the foundation of Pakistani TV dramas.

His acting in "Lakhon Mein Teen" and "Andhera Ujala" is still alive in the minds of the people. The prime minister said that the awards of excellence and star status are recognition of Qavi Khan's artistic abilities at the national level.
