Federal Minister Announces Major Operation in Balochistan

Federal Minister Announces Major Operation in Balochistan

Minister's Remarks on Terrorism and Foreign Influence
Federal Minister for National Food Security and Research, Rana Tanveer Hussain, has stated that terrorist groups based in Afghanistan are responsible for a series of attacks in Pakistan.

Particularly in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including the Jafar Express incident. He further accused these groups of being supported by the Indian intelligence agency, RAW, as well as the Afghan government.

Speaking to the media after the treatment of prominent agricultural scientist and religious figure Dr. Qari Muhammad Ramzan, along with his son Dr. Ahmed Ammar Asif, the Minister mentioned that Pakistan had already summoned the Afghan charge d’affaires to convey its concerns regarding these terrorist groups operating from Afghan soil.

Despite the severity of the situation, he emphasized that Pakistan has no intentions of conducting surgical strikes against these terrorist training camps in Afghanistan at this moment. However, he warned that if the situation continues to escalate, Pakistan may be forced to take decisive action.

    National Unity Against Terrorism
Rana Tanveer Hussain expressed deep concern over the growing terrorism within the country. He stated that the government is planning to unite all political and religious parties to address this issue. Notably, the All Parties Conference (APC) will be excluded from these talks.

The Minister also pointed out that during the tenure of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, terrorism was largely eradicated through Operation Zarb-e-Azb. However, he criticized former Prime Minister Imran Khan for releasing and resettling terrorists who are now reportedly being supported by anti-Pakistan forces and continuing their terrorist activities.

    Upcoming Major Operation in Balochistan
Rana Tanveer announced that a significant operation against terrorism is scheduled to take place in Balochistan soon. He expressed confidence that the Pakistan Army has the capability to completely eliminate terrorism in the region.

He also reaffirmed that the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) remains a strong ally of the federal government, and there are no issues in Punjab or other federating units concerning security.

    Diplomatic and Political Developments
The Minister mentioned that a meeting addressing various political issues, including ministry allocations, has already taken place, with another meeting scheduled for April.

Additionally, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will soon visit Saudi Arabia, where he will perform Umrah and meet with Saudi officials. Rana Tanveer highlighted that Saudi Arabia has consistently supported Pakistan in times of difficulty.
