    America's Return to Cricket

The word "cricket" is derived from the Old English word "cricc", meaning "stick", possibly referring to the cracking sound made by the ball hitting the "stick".

Over time, the term "cricket" evolved into Middle English and was later adopted as "cricket" in various languages, including Urdu. The Urdu translation of which means a type of insect. "piece" or (takra) refers to,

I wished to go and see this game of cricket in America, but it turned out that like me, this desire was in the heart of every other Pakistani (that is) the desire of America was cherished by everyone, but? What a wish that comes true.

"Then" I began to fulfill my desire to watch the match through the Internet.

T20 World Cup 2024, hosted by USA and West Indies, this tournament started from June 1. The first match of the tournament was played between USA and Canada in Dallas.

The T20 World Cup was held in Pakistan on June 2 due to the time difference in the United States. The tournament will feature a total of 55 matches, including knockouts, which will be completed in 29 days.

Thus, cricket was born in Great Britain where the first recorded match was played between Australia in 1598 in Kent, Great Britain. The game became popular over time, and then it is not possible that Britain colonized a country and did not leave the legend of cricket there?

Be it the sub-continent, European countries, or the US, "Wherever we go, we leave stories". Like the sub-continent, America has also left a rich and interesting history of cricket, where the first recorded cricket match was played in New York in 1744.

"While" several notable cricket tournaments were also held, viz

Philadelphia International Cricket Tournament (1893-1911) America, Canada and West Indies were included in these tournaments.

New York Cricket League (1900) (1930) This league included teams from the metropolitan area of New York.

Not only was America the most popular cricket team before the Civil War in 1861, there were numerous cricket clubs and associations.

Cricket matches were played regularly in at least 22 states. In 1859, a newspaper reported that there were more than 6,000 professional cricketers living in and around New York City alone.

But then this perfection came to a decline and baseball, which was born from cricket, completely dominated America and expelled cricket from there.

There are several reasons for this. For one thing, baseball is a fast-paced game, over in two to three hours. In comparison, a cricket match used to take several days.

Then the rules and regulations of baseball are much simpler than cricket, its field is small which can be easily built even in urban areas, its bat is very simple and therefore cheap, etc.

Another argument is that Americans wanted to separate themselves from Britain in sports, so baseball was born by Americans.

Due to all these reasons, cricket was almost banished from America in the 20th century. Or else? Think if America had got Test membership at the same time, where would the game of cricket be today.

But "in recent years, there has been a resurgence of interest in cricket in the United States, largely due to a growing immigrant population from the cricket-loving nations of India, Pakistan, the West Indies and other countries."

The USA Cricket Association was formed in 2017 to promote and develop the game in the country. The US national cricket team has been playing international matches since 2004 and has shown promising results.

As for the future of cricket in the US, there are plans to build more cricket stadiums and infrastructure and increase grassroots participation.

(ICC) has also announced an investment plan for the development of cricket in America.

     International Cricket Council

(ICC) has had several headquarters throughout its history. It was founded in 1909 and its first office was established in London. Current Office: Established in Dubai since 2005

(ICC) is the world governing body of cricket, which is responsible for setting the rules, regulations and standards for the game. It also organizes international cricket tournaments including the Cricket World Cup.

Many countries of the world including

Israel is not a member of the ICC, as it is not a Test-playing nation and does not have an internationally competitive national cricket team. However, Israel has a national cricket team that competes in international tournaments at the grassroots level.

The ICC was founded in 1909 as the Imperial Cricket Conference, and was renamed the International Cricket Conference in 1965, later the International Cricket Council.

(ICC) Apart from this, there are many international organizations associated with cricket.

     Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC)

     International Cricket Association (ICA)

     Asian Cricket Council

     (ACC)

     African Cricket Association (ACA)

     European Cricket Council (ECC)

     Cricket Australia (CA)

England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB)

     Pakistan Cricket Board

    (PCB)

     Cricket South Africa (CSA)

     Cricket West Indies (CWI)

     New Zealand Cricket (NZC)

These organizations work closely with the ICC to promote and develop the game of cricket globally.
